PUBLIC INSTITUTION “CHILDREN’S ALLIANCE” PODGORICA announces CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR COMPOSERS AND LYRICISTS for the International Children’s Song Festival “NAŠA RADOST 2026”






Terms and Conditions
This call is addressed to composers and lyricists wishing to submit original songs for
children.
1.The right to apply is granted to composers and lyricists, exclusively for
unpublished musical compositions for children.
For submission, the following materials are required:
- The melody of the composition with lyrics and harmonic symbols, as well as the
score with a choral arrangement, taking into account the vocal range of children’s
voices; - Lyrics of the composition
- A working audio version (demo), to be submitted in MP3 format to the official
festival email address:
nasa.radost@podgorica.me.
The working version implies a vocal performance accompanied by one instrument.
2. One composer may submit a maximum of three compositions.
3. Compositions must be submitted by the deadline specified in the call, which is
March 13 th 2006 , while instrumental arrangements must be submitted no later than
45 days from the decision of the Selection Committee.
Failure to submit the instrumental arrangement within the specified deadline will
result in disqualification of the composition.
4. Incomplete submissions will not be considered by the Selection Committee.
5. Submitted materials will not be returned
6. Compositions selected by the Selection Jury will be purchased.
7. The Festival reserves the right to select the arranger, in consultation with the
composer.
8.Selected compositions cannot be withdrawn at a later stage.
9.The Organizer reserves the right to publish, record, and use the selected
compositions.
10.The Festival organizes a call for the selection of vocal soloists for a certain number
of compositions.
11.Children aged 5 to 13 are eligible to apply as vocal soloists, provided that they
have not reached the age of 13 on the day of the Festival.
12.The Festival Organization announces an audition for the selection of vocal soloists.
13.After the selection of vocal soloists, the Artistic Director of the Festival, in
consultation with the composers, makes the final decision regarding which child will
interpret a specific composition.
14.Vocal soloists perform the compositions live at two general rehearsals, while at the
final festival performance the compositions are not performed live.
15.Each vocal soloist may participate in the Festival with only one composition.
16.The Festival will be held at the beginning of October 2026.
17.Composers from abroad are obliged to propose a vocal soloist for their
submitted composition.
Should this not be possible, the Festival shall provide a vocal soloist through its
official audition procedure.
Awards
The following awards will be presented at the Festival:
-First, Second, and Third Prize for Composition;
-Award for Best Lyrics;
-Award for Best Arrangement;
-First, Second, and Third Prize for Interpretation;
-Children’s Jury Award;
-Award for the Youngest Participant.
In addition to the awards stipulated by the Festival regulations, the following
special awards will also be presented:
-Award for Best Stage Performance;
-Award of the Children’s Choir “Zvjezdice”.
The Organizer reserves the right to define and provide additional special awards
for various categories for each Festival edition.
